The AVMATRIX TS3019-4 is a wireless tally system for multi-camera productions with four tally lights and a central tally box. It reliably indicates to camera operators, presenters, and production teams which camera is currently on air and which camera is being prepared next.
The system is suitable for live streams, events, studio productions, churches, schools, sports broadcasts, interviews, and mobile video productions. Tally signals are transmitted wirelessly via 433 MHz or, if required, connected by cable via RS-485.
The tally lights display the current camera status using red and green signals. Red typically indicates the active program signal, while green can be used for preview or the next prepared camera. This allows camera operators to immediately know when their camera is live or will be needed next.
The wireless connection operates in the 433 MHz range and achieves a range of up to 200 m with line of sight. For installations where a fixed connection is preferred, the system also supports a wired tally connection via RS-485. This allows the TS3019-4 to be used flexibly in both mobile and fixed production environments.
The tally box offers several interfaces including GPIO, USB-C, RS-485, and RS-232. Via GPIO, the system can be used with many video mixers, including AVMATRIX and other manufacturers such as Blackmagic, Roland, and Datavideo, provided a suitable GPIO tally output or adapter is available. Via USB-C, integration with vMix is also possible.
The TS3019 system supports up to 16 tally lights. The TS3019-4 set comes with four tally lights and can be expanded if required. Each light features front and rear indicators, so the status is visible both to the camera operator and to people in front of the camera.
Via RS-232 and RS-485, the system can also be used for wireless PTZ passthrough. The tally lights display signal strength and battery status. The brightness of the red and green indicators is adjustable in four levels, allowing the lights to be adapted to studio, stage, or outdoor environments.
The tally lights can be powered via USB-C or with an 18650 Li-ion battery. Mounting is via a 1/4-inch connection or camera shoe adapter. This allows the lights to be attached directly to cameras, tripods, or rig components.
