The Linsn EX901 multi-function card is used for automatic brightness control of LED advertising displays, LED walls and LED displays. In combination with a suitable light sensor, the display brightness can be regulated according to the ambient light.
The brightness control can be adjusted via software to suit the installation location and lighting conditions. Minimum brightness, maximum brightness, control speed and base brightness level can be configured.
The card provides 5 potential-free switching contacts that can be controlled via a timer. This allows additional switching functions to be integrated into an LED installation.
The Linsn EX901 is compatible with LINSN sending cards of the 8xx series. For use with LINSN sending cards of the 9xx series, the Linsn EX902 multi-function card is required.

Questions & Answers▲
What is the main function of the Linsn EX901 Multi-Function Card?
The Linsn EX901 is designed for automatic brightness control of LED displays and LED billboards. In combination with a compatible light sensor, it adjusts the brightness of the LED display based on the current ambient light conditions.
How is the brightness control configured?
The brightness control is configured via software. Parameters such as minimum brightness, maximum brightness, control speed, and the base brightness level can all be individually programmed to suit different locations and usage conditions.
Can the brightness settings be adapted to different times of day?
Yes, the software-based programming allows the brightness control to be adapted to different times of day as well as varying ambient conditions and installation locations.
How many switching contacts does the EX901 provide?
The card features 5 potential-free switching contacts. These contacts can be controlled via a timer, allowing external functions or switching operations to be integrated into the overall LED control system.
What are potential-free switching contacts used for in this context?
Potential-free switching contacts allow the card to control external devices or functions without a direct electrical connection to the card's own power supply. In LED display setups, this is commonly used to trigger external equipment such as fans, alarms, or other peripheral systems via a timer.
Does the Linsn EX901 include temperature monitoring?
Yes, the EX901 is equipped with 2 temperature sensors. These allow simultaneous temperature measurement in two locations, for example one sensor for indoor measurement and one for outdoor measurement.
Which sending cards are compatible with the Linsn EX901?
The Linsn EX901 is compatible with Linsn sending cards of the 8xx series. It is not designed for use with sending cards from the 9xx series.
What card should be used with Linsn 9xx series sending cards instead?
For Linsn sending cards of the 9xx series, the Linsn EX902 Multi-Function Card is required instead of the EX901.
Is a light sensor included with the EX901?
The automatic brightness control requires a suitable light sensor, but based on the available product information it is not confirmed that a sensor is included in the delivery. Please check the package contents or contact the supplier to clarify what is included.
Is the EX901 suitable for both indoor and outdoor LED displays?
The card supports temperature sensors for both indoor and outdoor measurement and offers flexible brightness control, which makes it applicable for LED displays used in various environments. The suitability for a specific installation should be confirmed based on the full system setup.
What brightness parameters can be adjusted via the software?
Via the software, the following parameters can be configured: minimum brightness, maximum brightness, control speed, and the base brightness level. This allows precise adaptation of the brightness behavior to the specific requirements of the LED installation.
