The VariZoom SnapCrane 12 is a modular camera jib for controlled sweeping, rising and lowering shots in professional film, video and broadcast production. This package includes the crane arm, the rigid TCR100 crane tripod and the DCR200 heavy-duty dolly with outriggers. The motorized MC100 pan/tilt remote head is also included.
The crane supports 3 documented setup modes across 3 distinct overall lengths. In its longest configuration it measures 4,22 m overall, reaches 3,35 m horizontally and provides a maximum camera height of 4,34 m (as defined in the manufacturer manual).
Locking dovetail joints, tethered stainless quick-release pins and a matched cable-tensioning system allow fast, largely tool-free assembly while providing structural rigidity.
The adjustable pivot brake and sliding counterweight fine adjustment support smooth, balanced movements. Counterweight plates are not included.
The SnapCrane 12 includes one extension section, allowing Compact, Mid-Size and full SnapCrane-12 setups.
The TCR100 is a rigid, non-telescopic crane tripod. The DCR200 dolly with outriggers supports setup on a flat, level surface. The fully loaded crane must not be freely rolled around on the dolly.
The included MC100 provides remotely controlled pan and tilt movements. The head camera payload and total crane-tip load are separate limits, and the head weight plus accessories must be counted against the crane load.
