The Hoodman H-300 is a compact LCD sun shade for camera monitors and viewfinders with a screen diagonal of approximately 2.5 to 3 inches. It improves the readability of the camera display in bright daylight, direct sunlight, and disruptive backlight conditions.
The light-shielding design reduces ambient light entering from the sides and unwanted reflections on the monitor surface. This allows for more reliable assessment of framing, exposure, and focus even during outdoor shoots.
The Hoodman H-300 is made from rigid plastic inserts with a durable, water-resistant nylon outer shell. Two sewn-in elastic mounting straps with adjustable hook-and-loop fasteners allow quick attachment to compatible camera displays without additional mounts.
Thanks to its foldable design, the LCD sun shade can be stored compactly in a camera or accessory bag.
The H-300 is the classic version without a magnifying loupe. For additional image magnification, the Hoodman H-3C variant with a removable 2x loupe is available.
