The Hoodman H-3C is a combined LCD sun hood with detachable 2x magnifying loupe for camera monitors and viewfinders with a screen diagonal of approximately 2.5 to 3 inches.
The light-shielding construction reduces unwanted reflections and ambient light entering from the sides. This allows the monitor image to be assessed significantly more clearly, particularly during outdoor shoots and in direct sunlight.
The additional magnifying loupe makes it easier to check image details and assess focus manually. If needed, the loupe can be removed, allowing the H-3C to be used like the classic Hoodman H-300 sun hood without magnification.
The hood consists of stabilising plastic inserts with a durable, water-resistant nylon covering. Two elastic, sewn-on attachment straps with adjustable hook-and-loop fasteners allow mounting on compatible camera displays.
For transport, the sun hood can be folded flat and stored in a compact manner in a camera bag.
