The Hoodman HGCP15 Ground Control Point Kit consists of five round Ground Control Points numbered 1 to 5. Each marker has a diameter of 3 ft or approximately 91.4 cm and deploys quickly into its operational shape thanks to its self-tensioning construction.
The set is designed for professional applications in drone surveying, photogrammetry, aerial surveying, and drone mapping. Clearly visible Ground Control Points support precise referencing and evaluation of aerial imagery.
The Ground Control Points are made of durable polyester and feature a perimeter galvanized steel cable. The weighted outer edge keeps the markers in position on the ground without necessarily requiring stakes to be driven in for normal use.
For longer-term positioning, each GCP additionally has four anchor loops. These can be used, for example, when animals or other external factors might displace the deployed markers.
24-inch scaling markers are integrated into the pattern of each Ground Control Point. These serve as a defined size reference when subsequently evaluating the captured image data.
A central grommet enables the accurate placement of a survey rod at the center of the marker, supporting the precise capture of GPS coordinates.
