The Digipin13 WL1 SET is a wireless LANC remote control for LANC-compatible cameras from Sony, Canon, JVC, Panasonic and Blackmagic. It enables starting and stopping recordings without a direct cable connection between the remote control and the camera.
Unlike the individual WL1 remote control, this set already includes a matching LANC receiver. This allows a compatible camera to be controlled wirelessly straight away.
The system is particularly suited for film productions, live productions, multi-camera setups, camera cranes, sliders, tripods and hard-to-reach camera positions. With additional receivers, up to 5 cameras can be controlled wirelessly depending on the configuration.
The Digipin13 WL1 SET works with cameras that support a LANC, Control-L or CTRL-L interface. The receiver is connected directly to the camera's LANC port and powered through this connection.
The remote control is powered by 2 AAA batteries. The range in open field conditions is up to 80 metres. This allows the camera to be started and stopped from greater distances.
The available functions depend on the camera model used. In addition to recording start/stop, further functions such as focus control, autofocus, iris control, push iris, shutter control, white balance reset, on-screen display on/off or playback functions may be supported depending on the camera.
For Blackmagic Design cameras with LANC support, functions include recording start/stop, focus control, autofocus, iris control and, depending on the model, zoom functions as well. For Blackmagic Micro cameras, additional functions such as auto iris, iris open/close, focus near/far and focus control via rocker are available.
