AVMatrix SC2030 3G-SDI / HDMI Scaling Cross Converter

The AVMatrix SC2030 is a compact 3G-SDI / HDMI Scaling Cross Converter for professional video applications. It converts HDMI signals to SDI and SDI signals to HDMI, and additionally offers integrated scaling and frame rate conversion. This makes the SC2030 particularly suitable for broadcast, AV production, live streaming, post-production, event technology, and fixed installations.

The converter features one HDMI input, one 3G-SDI input, and one analog 3.5mm audio input. On the output side, one HDMI output and two 3G-SDI outputs are available. The input signal can be automatically detected and scaled to the desired output format.

Flexible SDI and HDMI Conversion

With the SC2030, HDMI and SDI signals can be flexibly converted in both directions. An HDMI signal can be output as SDI, and an SDI signal can be converted to HDMI. At the same time, SDI and HDMI outputs can be used in parallel, making the converter versatile for monitoring, signal distribution, and integration of different video devices.

Scaling and Frame Rate Conversion

The integrated scaler enables up- and down-scaling of video signals. In addition, the frame rate can be adjusted. This allows different signal standards to be better adapted to existing monitors, recorders, streaming encoders, vision mixers, or other production equipment.

Audio Embedding via 3.5mm Input

An external audio signal can be embedded into the HDMI or SDI output signal via the analog 3.5mm audio input. This is particularly useful when video and audio signals from different sources need to be combined and processed together.

Control via DIP Switch or Software

The most important settings can be made directly on the device using DIP switches. In addition, the SC2030 can be connected to a Windows PC via the Micro-USB port and configured using AVMatrix software. The USB port also serves for power supply and firmware updates.

Redundant Power Supply for Professional Applications

In addition to power supply via USB, the SC2030 offers two locking power connectors for redundant power supply. This makes the converter suitable for more demanding installations where a reliable power supply is important.
