Lilliput RM-7029S - Dual-Display Rack Monitor for Broadcast Applications

The LILLIPUT RM-7029S is a professional 3RU rack mount monitor with two independent 7-inch displays for broadcast and live streaming applications. With its compact design, the device is ideal for use in outside broadcast vans, video walls and broadcast trucks, where reliable image control in the smallest of spaces is required.

Each of the two 7-inch LCD panels works with a native full HD resolution of 1920×1200 pixels in 16:10 format and offers a high contrast of 2000:1 and a brightness of 400 cd/m². The wide viewing angles of 160° horizontally and vertically ensure optimal visibility even when viewed from the side.

Versatile inputs and outputs

The RM-7029S has comprehensive connectivity options with two each 3G-SDI and two HDMI 2.0 inputs per display. While the SDI inputs support signals up to 1080p 60Hz, the HDMI 2.0 interfaces can even process 4K signals up to 2160p 60Hz. The integrated loop outputs allow additional monitors to be linked together, which is particularly useful for setting up camera video walls.

An Ethernet interface enables network connection for remote control functions, while a tally connection supports integration into professional broadcast workflows. The device works with an input voltage of 10-24V DC and consumes a maximum of 16W.

Professional monitoring tools

Both displays work completely independently of each other and offer an extensive range of monitoring tools. Available Scope views include Histogram, Waveform, False Color and Level Meter, enabling precise image analysis. Focus peaking, exposure tools and timecode display support professional image control.

Marker functions such as center marker, safety marker and aspect marker with configurable colors and line widths make image composition easier. Additional auxiliary functions include Overscan, Freeze, H/V Delay and Check Field for various production requirements.

HDR and 3D-LUT support

The monitor supports HDR standards ST 2084 300, 1000 and 10000 nits as well as HLG for extended dynamic ranges. HDR playback enables more detailed representation of light and dark areas of the image, increasing the overall image quality. For color grading and look development, 3D LUT functions are available that support loading of.cube format files.

The device offers 17 predefined log formats including Slog2/Slog3, ArriLog, Clog, Jlog, Vlog and Nlog, as well as six custom LUT storage locations. These functions enable precise color reproduction of various camera systems directly on the monitor.

Remote control and software integration

All monitor functions can be controlled remotely via PC software via the LAN connection. After IP configuration, the connection is automatic, allowing central control of multiple devices. The software provides access to image parameters such as brightness, contrast, saturation, color temperature and sharpness.

Advanced functions such as marker settings, audio parameters, tally/UMD modes and various monitoring tools can also be configured remotely. This allows operators to focus on other workstations while monitors are managed centrally.

Robust 19-inch rack construction

With a 3RU height and 19-inch width The RM-7029S fits seamlessly into standard rack systems. The flat front panel with a depth of just 29.3 mm offers optimal viewing angles despite its compact dimensions of 480×131.6×29.3 mm. The weight of 2.2 kg also makes the device suitable for mobile applications.

The operating temperature range from 0°C to 50°C and the storage temperature from -20°C to 70°C ensure reliable use even under demanding environmental conditions in broadcast trucks or temporary production environments.
