The LILLIPUT Q18-8K FC is a high-resolution 17.3" production monitor that was specially developed for professional camcorders, video cameras and broadcast applications. The FC version includes a flight case.
With its native 4K resolution of 3840×2160 pixels and support for 8K video signals via 12G-SDI, this monitor offers exceptional image quality for demanding users Production and post-production workflows. The 16:9 display achieves a brightness of 400cd/m² with a contrast ratio of 1200:1 and enables precise image control from different positions thanks to the wide viewing angle of 170°/170°.
The monitor supports HDR standards such as ST2084, HLG and other HDR formats and enables professional color correction thanks to the integrated 3D LUT functionality with 17 predefined and 6 user-defined LUTs. Calibration is based on the Rec.709 standard, with various color spaces such as NTSC and DCI-P3 supported. A 90%+ DCI-P3 color space ensures accurate color reproduction for critical monitoring applications.
At the heart of the Q18-8K is Quad-Link 12G-SDI technology, which allows four separate 4K 60Hz video signals to be combined into a single 8K 60Hz signal. Both individual 4K signals and complex 8K workflows can be implemented via four 12G-SDI inputs. The monitor is compatible with the ST2082-12 video protocol and can process video signals up to 8K at 60Hz. In addition to the 12G-SDI ports, HDMI 2.0 inputs and outputs are available, allowing flexible integration into various production environments.
For fiber-optic-based transmissions, the Q18-8K offers a 12G SFP+ port, which can be expanded with an optional fiber optic module. This function is particularly valuable for broadcast environments and live productions where large distances between camera and monitor must be bridged.
The Q18-8K has a powerful Quad Split Multiview function, which allows up to four different input signals to be shown on the display at the same time. Input signals from 12G-SDI, HDMI 2.0 and 12G-SFP+ can be freely selected and provided with colored frames for better distinction. Four dedicated buttons on the monitor allow you to quickly switch between the different input signals.
Extensive monitoring tools are available for professional signal analysis, including waveform display, false color, audio vector (Lissajous), histogram and focus peaking. These tools can be configured as shortcuts using the F1-F4 function keys, allowing quick access to frequently used functions such as exposure metering, focus control and color analysis.
The monitor offers extensive remote control options via LAN and RS422 interfaces. Using a dedicated remote control application, users can control the monitor from one computer and manage multiple monitors synchronously. The RS422 inputs and outputs enable integration into professional broadcast infrastructures and synchronization with other devices.
A GPI input for trigger functions and a 3.5mm headphone jack are also available. The integrated stereo speakers support 8-channel 24-bit PCM audio via SDI and HDMI. The monitor is powered by a universal 12-24V DC power supply and supports both V-Lock and Anton Bauer battery systems with a nominal input voltage of 14.8V.
The Q18-8K is designed for various usage scenarios and offers flexible mounting options. The compact housing with dimensions of 433.9 × 294.2 × 45.7mm and a weight of 3.9kg can be perfectly integrated into 19-inch racks. VESA 75/100mm mounting points allow for wall mounting or attachment to camera rigs.
Optional accessories are available for mobile applications, including a gimbal bracket for mounting on camera stabilizers, a transport bag with sun protection and a special rack mount bracket. The monitor can be used both stationary in the studio and mobile in outdoor productions and, thanks to its robust construction, offers reliable performance in demanding environments.
