The Hoodman HoodEye HEYESG eyecup is a teardrop-shaped viewfinder eyecup for Sony cameras that use the FDA-EP16 eyepiece cap. It replaces the original eyepiece cap and is attached directly to the camera's viewfinder. A corresponding eyepiece cap is usually included in the scope of delivery of compatible Sony cameras.
Compared to the standard eyepiece cap, the Hoodman HoodEye eyecup blocks light coming in from the side much more effectively. This reduces annoying reflections in the viewfinder and enables a higher-contrast viewfinder image.
