Hoodman HEYESG eyecup for glasses wearers
Viewfinder eyecup for Sony Alpha cameras
article number: 10896 | manufacturer number: HEYESG | EAN/UPC: 017932334318
The Hoodman HoodEye HEYESG eyecup is a teardrop-shaped viewfinder eyecup for Sony cameras that use the FDA-EP16 eyepiece cap. It replaces the original eyepiece cap and attaches directly to the camera's viewfinder. A corresponding eyepiece cap is generally included with compatible Sony cameras.
Compared to the standard eyepiece cap, the Hoodman HoodEye eyecup blocks light entering from the sides significantly more effectively. This reduces distracting reflections in the viewfinder and enables a higher-contrast viewfinder image.
At the same time, the eyecup improves ergonomics when shooting photos and video. The teardrop-shaped design allows the camera to be steadily braced against the eye. This creates an additional point of stability and makes it easier to maintain smooth camera movement — especially at long focal lengths or during video recording.
The Hoodman HEYESG features a particularly generously sized cup and is therefore ideal for glasses wearers. The eye with glasses has sufficient space within the eyecup.
Users without glasses also benefit from the larger design: the greater contact area blocks side light especially effectively and ensures a clear and undisturbed viewfinder image.
