The EDIUS 11 Authoring Option extends EDIUS 11 with functions for creation and output of DVD-Video as well as Blu-ray Discs. This additional option is aimed at users who would like to continue to create physical data media for customers, archives, presentations or special production requirements.
There is still a need for optical media, especially in the event sector, training media, club productions, weddings or in the corporate environment. With the authoring option, corresponding projects can be prepared and output directly from EDIUS 11.

What exactly does the EDIUS 11 Authoring Option do?
The Authoring Option expands EDIUS 11 with the ability to create and output DVD-Video and Blu-ray Discs directly from the program. It complements the existing editing workflow with a complete disc output function without the need for a separate authoring program.
Can I use the authoring option without EDIUS 11?
No. The authoring option can only be used in conjunction with a valid EDIUS 11 installation. It is an additional option and not a standalone program.

Is a special drive required for disc creation?
Yes. Burning physical media requires a compatible DVD or Blu-ray drive on your computer. The Authoring Option provides the software function, but the appropriate drive must be available separately.
How is the license delivered?
The Authoring Option is provided as a download license. The serial number will be sent via email after purchase. There is no physical delivery.
Which operating systems are supported?
Windows 10 64-bit version 21H2 or newer and Windows 11 are supported. A 32-bit operating system is not supported supported.
What are the minimum requirements for RAM?
A minimum of 8 GB of RAM is required. For editing and outputting 4K or 8K projects, 16 GB of RAM or more is recommended to ensure stable operation.
Is an Internet connection required for use?
An Internet connection is required for license activation as well as for regular License exams required. A permanent connection is not absolutely necessary during operation, but should be available for test intervals.
Which processors are supported?
At least an Intel Core processor from the 5th generation or a comparable AMD CPU is required. Older processor generations are not officially supported.
In which languages is the software available?
The available languages depend on the respective serial number. Supported languages include German, English, French, Italian, Spanish and Japanese as well as other languages depending on the license version.
How much free space is required for the installation?
At least 6 GB of free hard drive space is required for the installation. Additional storage space for project data and temporary files should be planned separately.
Which graphics card is required?
The graphics card must support Direct3D 9.0c or newer and Pixel Shader Model 3.0 or newer. Video memory is recommended at least 1 GB for SD and HD projects and at least 2 GB for 4K projects.
