Eartec UltraLITE HD Hub – Base Station for Wireless Intercom Systems
The Eartec UltraLITE HD Hub is the central base station for larger Eartec intercom systems and enables the integration of up to 8 wireless headsets as well as one additional wired participant.
This allows a total of up to 9 participants simultaneously to be integrated into a full-duplex intercom system – all users can speak and listen at the same time without having to press a talk button.
Full-Duplex Communication Without Pressing a Button
The UltraLITE HD system operates completely hands-free: communication is activated automatically as soon as the microphone boom is moved into the speaking position. This enables natural and uninterrupted communication – ideal for dynamic production environments.
- Full-duplex communication (speak and listen simultaneously)
- No push-to-talk function required
- Ready to use immediately without training
Central Role in the System
For smaller setups (up to 5 participants) no hub is required – here a master headset takes over control. From 6 participants onwards, the HD HUB becomes the central control unit and ensures stable and coordinated communication.
- Required for larger intercom systems
- Management of all wireless connections
- Stable communication even with many participants
Expanded Participant Structure
- Up to 8 wireless headsets can be registered
- 1 additional participant via cable
- Flexible expansion of existing systems
Thanks to its ease of use and stable wireless connection, the HUBHD is a reliable tool for professional communication solutions.

Questions & Answers▲
What is the Eartec UltraLITE HD Hub used for?
The HD Hub is the central base station for larger Eartec UltraLITE intercom systems. It manages wireless connections for up to 8 headsets and adds support for one wired participant, enabling a total of up to 9 people to communicate simultaneously.
How many participants can communicate at the same time?
Up to 9 participants can be active at the same time: 8 via wireless headsets and 1 additional participant connected by cable.
Is the system full duplex?
Yes, the system operates in full duplex, meaning all participants can speak and listen simultaneously without waiting for others to finish. No push-to-talk button is needed at any time.
Do I need to press a button to start talking?
No. Communication is activated automatically by moving the microphone boom into the speaking position. This allows fully hands-free, uninterrupted operation without any button presses.
When is the HD Hub required in an Eartec UltraLITE system?
For setups with up to 5 participants, a master headset takes over the control function and no hub is needed. From 6 participants onwards, the HD Hub becomes the required central control unit to maintain stable and coordinated communication.
What radio frequency does the system use?
The system transmits on the 2.4 GHz frequency band, which is license-free and does not require any special permits or frequency registration.
How is the wired participant connected?
The additional wired participant connects via a 3.5 mm or 2.5 mm jack, allowing integration of one cable-connected user alongside the wireless headsets.
How long does the battery last?
The battery life is approximately 4 hours of continuous use under normal operating conditions.
Can the system be expanded with additional headsets later?
Yes, the system supports flexible expansion. Additional wireless headsets can be registered to the hub, up to the maximum of 8 wireless users, making it straightforward to scale an existing setup.
Is any special training required to operate the system?
No special training is required. The system is designed for immediate use, and activation via the microphone boom position makes operation intuitive for all participants from the start.
