AVMatrix Mini SC1112 3G-SDI to HDMI Converter
SDI to HDMI conversion with SDI loop-out up to 1080p60
article number: 11994 | manufacturer number: SC1112 | EAN/UPC: 6971118000012
The AVMatrix Mini SC1112 is a compact 3G-SDI to HDMI mini converter for converting professional SDI video signals to an HDMI signal. It allows SDI sources such as cameras, video mixers, or playback devices to be easily connected to HDMI monitors, recorders, streaming encoders, or other HDMI devices.
In addition, the converter features an SDI loop-out, which allows the incoming SDI signal to be passed through simultaneously to another SDI device. The mini converter processes video signals up to 1080p60 and is suitable for both mobile applications and fixed installations thanks to its compact design.
The SC1112 is ideal when an existing SDI signal needs to be output to HDMI without interrupting the SDI signal chain. The loop-out allows the simultaneous forwarding of the input signal to additional SDI equipment, for example to another monitor, recorder, or video mixer.

Questions & Answers▲
What does the AVMatrix Mini SC1112 convert?
It converts professional 3G-SDI video signals to HDMI output. This allows SDI sources such as cameras, video mixers, or playback devices to be connected to HDMI monitors, recorders, streaming encoders, and other HDMI-compatible devices.
Does the converter support an SDI loop-out?
Yes, the SC1112 features an SDI loop-out that passes the incoming SDI signal through simultaneously to another SDI device. This allows the original SDI signal chain to remain uninterrupted while the signal is also converted to HDMI.
What is the maximum supported video resolution?
The converter supports video resolutions up to 1080p60, covering standard definition formats such as 525i 59.94 and 625i 50, as well as high definition formats including 1080p60.
What type of HDMI connector does the SC1112 use for its output?
The HDMI output uses a standard HDMI Type A connector, which is compatible with the majority of monitors, recorders, and encoders available on the market.
What SDI signal standards are supported at the input and loop-out?
Both the SDI input and the SDI loop-out support SD-SDI, HD-SDI, and 3G-SDI signals, making the converter compatible with a wide range of professional video equipment operating at different signal levels.
How is the SC1112 powered?
The converter is powered via a USB-C power supply. This makes it easy to power from standard USB chargers, power banks, or laptop USB ports, which is particularly convenient for mobile productions and on-location use.
What are the physical dimensions of the converter?
The SC1112 measures 74 × 41 × 23 mm, making it a very compact unit that fits easily into a camera bag or can be mounted discreetly in a fixed installation.
Is the SC1112 suitable for use in live event or broadcast environments?
Yes, the converter is designed for use in broadcast, studio, and live event environments. Its support for professional SDI signal standards and its loop-out function make it a practical tool wherever SDI sources need to feed HDMI devices without interrupting the existing SDI infrastructure.
Can the SC1112 be used for mobile video production or live streaming?
Yes, its compact size and USB-C power supply make it well suited for mobile video production, live streaming setups, and on-location monitoring where portability is important.
Can I connect an SDI camera directly to an HDMI monitor using this converter?
Yes, this is one of the primary use cases. An SDI camera can be connected to the SDI input of the converter, and the resulting HDMI output can be fed directly into any compatible HDMI monitor for monitoring or display purposes.
Is the loop-out an active re-clocked output or a passive split?
The loop-out is an SDI loop-out that forwards the input signal to a second SDI device. It is intended for passing the signal through in the SDI chain rather than splitting it to multiple independent destinations.
Can the SC1112 be used in a fixed installation as well as on location?
Yes, the converter is suitable for both mobile applications and fixed installations. Its small footprint allows it to be integrated discreetly into rack-based setups, broadcast desks, or permanent studio configurations.
