The AVMatrix FE1121 12G-SDI Fiber Extender Kit is a professional fiber optic extender solution for transmitting SDI video signals over long distances. The system supports 12G, 6G and 3G-SDI and enables the transmission of video signals up to 4K including embedded audio and metadata.
Signals can be transmitted over distances of up to around 10 km via a single-mode optical fiber. The set consists of a transmitter and a receiver, each of which is powered by a USB power supply. Both devices use SFP modules with LC connectors for optical signal transmission.
The transmitter also has an SDI loop-out output for local forwarding of the input signal, while the receiver provides two SDI outputs. An integrated SDI equalizer and re-clocking ensure stable signal quality even over long cable routes.
