AVMATRIX HVS0403U Full-HD Video Switcher

The AVMatrix HVS0403U is a compact digital Full-HD video mixer for live production, streaming, event technology, training, conferencing and mobile video applications. The device offers 2 HDMI inputs, 2 3G-SDI inputs, 2 HDMI outputs and a USB-C streaming output compliant with the UVC/UAC standard.

Via the USB-C output, the video mixer can be connected directly to a computer and used with streaming software such as OBS, XSplit or comparable applications. This makes the HVS0403U suitable for live streams on platforms such as YouTube Live, Facebook Live, Twitch, Skype and other streaming or conferencing services.

With two HDMI and two 3G-SDI inputs, the AVMatrix HVS0403U processes various video sources up to Full HD 1080p60. This allows cameras, media players, computers, signal converters or other professional video devices to be flexibly integrated into a compact live setup.

Operation is performed directly on the device via clearly arranged buttons, controls and the T-Bar transition lever. This allows sources to be switched live, transitions executed and program signals output in a controlled manner.

A key advantage of the HVS0403U is its flexible output assignment. The HDMI outputs as well as the USB output can be assigned to various signal paths depending on the application — for example an input signal, the program image or the multiview display.

This allows the video mixer to be adapted to different production workflows. For example, one output can be used for program output while another output shows a multiview display for direction or monitoring.

The AVMatrix HVS0403U offers practical features for live video and audio mixing. These include transitions via T-Bar, picture-in-picture display with adjustable position and size, and the ability to integrate graphics or logos from an external storage device.

For media integration, storage devices up to 256 GB are supported. Compatible file formats are JPEG, PNG, BMP, TIFF and TGA; supported file systems are FAT32, Ext3 and Ext4.

The integrated audio mixer enables audio control directly within the device. Audio mixing can be performed using the auto-follow function or manual level control.

In addition, two microphone inputs are available, which can also be used with line level. This allows speech, playback sources or external audio sources to be integrated directly into the production.

The HVS0403U can be operated via a Windows control software over the network. This enables convenient remote control in production, studio and installation environments.

A tally output supports use in multi-camera productions. The robust metal housing features a 1/4-inch tripod mount on the underside, making it suitable for mobile setups, small production desks and compact streaming stations.
